Tesla is holding a recruitment event in China in response to Musk’s warning about a gloomy outlook for the global economy.In China, Tesla presently employs 224 smart manufacturing managers and engineers.

Managers and engineers will be in charge of overseeing the functioning of the 6,000-tonne Giga Press injection molding machines. Tesla’s sales in China more than quadrupled from the previous year in 2021, accounting for a fourth of the company’s overall revenue.

In Shanghai, the Model 3 and Model Y are built for both domestic and foreign markets.has produced more than half of the vehicles manufactured last year, and Tesla aims to expand the facility.

In a letter to the company’s management, Tesla CEO Elon Musk highlighted his discontent with the global economy. Elon Musk also intends to slash around 10% of his workforce.

Tesla has 100,000 employees by the end of 2021, according to the SEC’s annual report. Employees were also instructed to return to work in the office or leave the firm by the world’s richest man.
