Google had hoped to have its workers back in the office starting Jan. 10, but that won’t be happening.
Google is holding off on its plans to get its employees back to the office this month, citing concerns about the coronavirus, which has prompted the World Health Organization to declare it a global pandemic.
In a message to employees, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said, “We continue to take the health and safety of our employees seriously, and we are taking precautionary measures to protect our people and prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
Google has worked to contain the spread of the coronavirus in the workplace, working to restrict meetings, ban large gatherings and implement safety protocols.
